Replicated Kubecon 2021

Looking back at this past week, we truly had a memorable experience at KubeCon 2021. Even though we are on the tail end of a pandemic, we were thankfully and safely able to gather in Downtown Los Angeles and see so many of you amazing people in the global Kubernetes community.

Whether you were networking, learning, job hunting, teaching, grabbing swag, entering sweepstakes, or just having fun, thank you for being a part of such a fantastic event.

Read on for an in-depth look at the Replicated KubeCon 2021 experience!

The Replicated Experience

With everything that the world has experienced over the last 18 months, we decided to have some fun with the Replicated booth this year. Outfitted with picnic tables, cornhole, lounge chairs, and even a small (fake) fire, we wanted to put together an inviting and relaxing experience for eventgoers. We invited everyone interested in Replicated to kick back and talk about their modern application delivery and management experience in style.

Our team of experts led virtual and in-person events all week, with great responses from the community. Whether you were looking to deploy your app in an air gapped environment, or learn from our leaders on how to cultivate and grow a healthy remote culture, we had you covered. Thanks to all of our amazing team members that went above and beyond to teach the community in these workshops and labs!

In order to make sure that all of KubeCon was aware of our presence, we went all out when it came to making our mark. We provided free frozen treats on two days of the event, with a full-serve ice cream truck parked right outside of the main entrance, and our K8s hats turned out to be the hit of the show. Perhaps most memorable was our K8s.Love digital LA experience — an entire site dedicated to fusing together Los Angeles and Kubernetes. The “prem de la prem” of this project was our Kubernetes Love music video that was a hit at the event. In case you didn’t hear it enough at our booth (or at the Azure booth!), have a listen below:

As an entirely remote company, this event also provided a wonderful opportunity for many of our team members to finally meet in person. Whether through a hug, high five, socially-distanced elbow bump, or conversation, it was a fantastic chance to really bond with our coworkers that we usually only see through a computer screen. We all had a blast, and can’t wait to be back next year.

We know that after a conference, it’s time to get back to all of the work we put aside for a week,  but we wanted to take the time to thank each one of you, virtually or IRL, for making this event so special. The last 18 months have been nothing short of challenging for the world, and this event was a breath of fresh air for us all. We made new friends, connected with old ones, and above all, we’re just thankful to be back with our Kubernetes community.

Replicated learned, taught, connected, networked, and socialized in person for the first time in what feels like forever, and we are so thankful to be a part of your KubeCon 2021 experience.

Hope to see you all at future events, and stay in touch! To learn more about the Replicated Platform and how we can deliver and manage your modern apps to any customer environment, please sign up for a demo today.
