What’s New for the Replicated SDK

Deploy the SDK with high availability (HA). As of v1.13.0, the SDK supports running multiple replicas along with pod anti-affinity and pod distribution budget to improve SDK resilience. Running the SDK with HA is particularly valuable for applications that rely on information provided by the SDK API. Docs.

What’s New for Vendor Portal

Several enhancements to Security Center (Alpha). Vendors and end customers can now view the Grype version that was used when scanning an image in the Security Center. Vendors can also access the full Grype JSON output for vulnerable container images in the Vendor Portal Security Center UI. Additionally, the Security Center UX is improved to make it clearer when no security data is available, including details about why it might be unavailable.

Improvements to Event Notifications (Alpha) based on feedback. The new Event Notifications (Alpha) feature allows vendors to create highly targeted notifications to focus on the events that matter most. As part of the Alpha phase, we’ve made several improvements to Event Notifications based on user feedback. For example, we added support for more types of event notifications, including when a customer upgrades their instance, when there is a new pending self-service signup, when an online instance stops reporting back for more than 24 hours, and when a customer downloads release assets. Also, Event Notifications (Alpha) now honors RBAC permissions for custom RBAC roles so that non-Admin users can create and edit their own notifications. Finally, various UX improvements make it easier to filter notifications, create notifications for an email address other than your user-associated email, and navigate between your notifications, your team’s notifications, and notifications history.

Access to the Event Notifications (Alpha) feature is available to interested early adopters. Let your Account Executive know if you’d like to learn more.

What’s New for Documentation

Helm CLI-only onboarding workflow. For vendors that support only Helm CLI installs for their application, a new Helm-only onboarding workflow explains all the onboarding tasks that are relevant to online and air-gapped Helm CLI installations. See the Helm CLI onboarding guide.

Added information on how CVE reports and SBOMs are generated for Security Center (Alpha). Added a description of how the SecureBuild service and Vendor Portal operate together to generate the release-specific CVE reports and SBOMs that are available to both vendors and their end-customers as part of the Security Center (Alpha) feature. Explain the HelmChart custom resource requirements for Security Center (Alpha). The docs are updated to explain how the HelmChart custom resource supports scanning and reporting on Helm chart images with the Security Center. Read more.
